BP row withTransocean heats up

The war of words between BP and Transocean, which owns the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig, came up a notch as the pair continued thrashing out who should shoulder the responsibility for the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Responding to an attack from Deepwater, BP's associate general counsel James Neath said: "Given its content and tone, your letter is nothing more than a publicity stunt."
