Domino’s Pizza UK has pushed the button on German expansion, after a tasty rise in first-quarter sales.

The pizza-delivery firm, which has six branches in Germany, said it plans to have 18 by the end of this year.

Domino’s grew its UK underlying sales by 3.6%. Total sales at Domino’s, which has 732 stores, jumped by 9% to £144.2 million.

The shares today fell by 14.8p, or 3%, to 456.7p.
