TGI Friday's is set to create 700 jobs this year under expansion plans which will include its first site at a railway station.

Seven new restaurants are set to open in areas including Liverpool, Brighton, Glasgow and Milton Keynes, with jobs ranging from managers to restaurant and kitchen staff.

The firm said it planned to double the number of UK restaurants to 120 by 2020.

Chief executive Karen Forrester said it was going to be an "exciting year" for TGI Friday's, adding: "As well as the new openings already confirmed, we're exploring new ways to grow the brand into different areas."

The full list of new locations, including the railway station, will be announced later.
