WPP takes big bite of Fortune Cookie

The summer acquisition frenzy for London marketing agencies today showed no signs of abating as WPP bought a majority stake in digital firm Fortune Cookie.

WPP did not disclose a sale price but the agency, founded by Justin Cooke in 1997, has annual revenues of £9.4 million and employs 190 people.

The agency specialises in devising mobile apps, websites and digital strategy for clients such as BP.
