Cost cutting helps boost Logica by 16%

11 April 2012

Computer services company Logica is seeing the fruits of a restructuring earlier this year that cost some 500 British jobs.

For the first half, revenue was up 6%, rising in every country in which the company operates.

Logica reported a "significant revenue and profitability improvement in the UK".

Profit was up 16% at £118 million. Chief executive Andy Green said the restructuring was working well after "we brought in experienced new management talent" and "initiated the cost savings required to fund our investments".

Net debt was some £565million and the interim dividend is lifted by 4% to 2.4p.
