Engine upgrades see Senior shrug off downturn

11 April 2012

Business is holding up well at British engineer Senior, as its biggest customers - Boeing and Airbus - help it defy a gloomy economic backdrop.

The firm, which makes aircraft parts like frames and flexible wing joints, has seen no sign of a fall in orders since June, despite the chaos gripping Europe.

Shares added 1.6p to 162.3p as the firm stick to previous profit estimates. Analysts are pencilling in pre-tax profits of around £76 million.
