Flying Brands a success after leaving Jersey

Shares in home shopping group Flying Brands shot up 13 per cent today after the postal flowers specialist said it would beat City profit forecasts.

The core Flying Flowers business raked in £3.6 million from sales in the three months to January, after slashing costs by moving its flower-packing operations to the UK from Jersey. Chief executive Stephen Cook said: "Our cost base has been realigned."
