LSE ‘on the trail of new partnerships’

The head of the London Stock Exchange today said he expected the firm would soon enter new partnerships amid talk it could tie up with overseas exchanges and new kinds of trading platforms.

"I am confident that we will be able to strike new partnerships," chief executive Xavier Rolet said. He did not comment on talk the LSE was sounding out replacements for chairman Chris Gibson-Smith.
