Stock exchange still closed in Egypt

Egypt's stock exchange remained closed today as officials debated how to prevent a run on share prices.

The market last traded on January 27 when it closed almost 10% down after anti-Mubarak protesters took to the streets.

The head of the stock exchange said it would give 48 hours' notice before reopening.

Traders said officials are talking of putting trade limits in place to stop shares plummeting.
