Here are the biggest comedy gigs in the capital this weekend...

Jason Byrne
Brace yourselves for the flame-haired Irish chatterbox's new show, Cirque de Byrne. Prepare for the ultimate comedy ringmaster to pick on his fans in the nicest possible way and maybe join him onstage for a barn-storming finale. A great jokesmith and an absolute genius at making every gig feel like a one-off.
Until Saturday 25 June, Udderbelly, SE1 (0844 875 0073, southbankcentre.co.uk)

Reginald D Hunter
A few years ago this charismatic UK-based American was a rare sight on our TV screens, but his deadpan style now brightens up many a panel show. Hunter is even better in a live, unedited format, where he has the chance to let rip and discuss hot-potato issues such as sexism and racism.
Until Saturday 25 June, Hammersmith Apollo, W6 (0844 844 4748, ticketmaster.co.uk)

Jeff Garlin
The newest American comedy import is better known as Jeff Greene, Larry David's bumbling manager in the sublime Curb Your Enthusiasm. Garlin's smart stand-up set, No Sugar Tonight, is more autobiographical, inspired by the comedian's weight issues and his attempts to shed the excess pounds.
Until Sunday June 26, Soho Theatre, W1 (020 7478 0100, sohotheatre.com)
