From dancing mice to remade musicals, London is still serving up the treats

Welcome to this week’s episode of Cultural Capital. We’ve taken a dream trip to the Royal Opera House to meet some of the dancers currently delighting audiences onstage in their stunning production of The Nutcracker, and we’re heading down to the fantastic Theatre Peckham, where they’re creating a brilliantly bonkers mash-up of Black Panther and The Wizard of Oz, because why wouldn’t you?

Our Thing of the Week is a very strange example of celebrity endorsement, and I’ll be reviewing Stephen Spielberg’s long-awaited and glorious remake of one of the greatest, and trickiest, musicals of all time, West Side Story.
