Following last night’s opening of the brand new Blek Le Rat show at Mayfair’s Opera Gallery, fans queued for up to 12 hours for limited edition prints signed by the artist himself.

Promoters for the exhibition, which showcases a brand new series of works from one of the originators of stencil-based street art, gave away signed numbered prints to the first 100 people to arrive at the gallery.

Over 300 people queued around the block to get their hands on the exclusive artwork.

Jean-David Malat, director and curator of Opera Gallery London, said: "90 per cent of the exhibition is already sold ... the amount of people here today shows the level of appreciation for this incredible artist. Prices for Blek's work will undoubtedly triple after this – everyone can see the true merit of his work".

The exhibiton runs until May 18 at the Opera Gallery London, 134 New Bond Street, W1S 2TF.
