You Bridget believe it: the beloved him is getting a live orchestral accompaniment
Ailis Brennan20 June 2018

Bridget Jones is back – and this time she’s not just embarrassing herself on the big screen, but in front of a live orchestra too.

Everyone’s favourite Noughties singleton is returning as part of a UK tour, which will see the original 2001 film beamed onto screens around the country this autumn.

During screenings, Bridget’s escapades and hapless love life will be scored live by a sixty piece orchestra. From turning up to a party in blush-inducing fancy dress to those big, big knickers, Jones' classic moments will get the classical touch.

Adapted from Helen Fielding’s best-selling 1994 book, the film saw Renee Zellweger take on the title role, and followed her richocheting romances with aloof Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) and the dastardly Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant).

The London screening will take place at the London Apollo Victoria Theatre on November 4.
