The first trailer for Dune: Part Two has been released online and fans are excited.

The next instalment of the fantasy film has been teased and will be the sequel to the 2021 film Dune, which has been adapted from the classic sci-fi book by Frank Herbert.

Part two will see the return of Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, and Dave Bautista plus new additions to the cast such as Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Austin Butler.

Award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve has delved deeper into the characters for the second film and fans cannot wait.

One wrote under the trailer: “What Denis Villeneuve is doing right now is nothing short of saving movies. From story to shots to sound and at this scope and scale, no one is doing what Denis is doing right now. Please protect this man” while another added: “WHAT. A. TRAILER. This is going to be epic.”

Already the clip has been viewed 7.5 million times after being uploaded yesterday.

What does the new trailer show?

The trailer gives fans their first glimpse of Florence Pugh in the role of Princess Corrino and shows the sandworts are back for revenge.

“Long live the fighters” is the slogan, with the film following the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.

“Fury is rising” is how the film teaser is signed off.

When is Dune Part Two being released?

Despite the excitement, fans still have a while to wait. Warner Bros dropped the trailer on its official YouTube channel and said the film will be in cinemas from November 2.

Will Dune Part Two be the last?

There has been no official word, but plenty of hints that this will not be the final film in the franchise.

Part Two is set to resolve the huge cliffhanger of the first film, which ended with the slogan “This is only the beginning”, but it has been said it may not be the last Dune film.

Part Two tells the tale of the second half of the book, but there may be a return to Arrakis planned, as director Villeneuve has hinted he may consider turning the movies into a trilogy and adapt author Frank Herbert’s second book in the series, Dune Messiah.
