Last night one of the most eagerly anticipated movies of the year was given its US premiere. The Hulk directed by Ang Lee and based on the Marvel comic character of the same name is set to be this summer's biggest blockbuster.
Arguably the most troubled of superheroes the big green monster is one of the most popular comic book characters ever and a TV series based on the cartoon was a huge hit during the 1970s.
Sticking as much as possible to the comic book directions the Hulk is portrayed as the 15ft monster he is described as rather than the 6ft 5ins version played by actor Lou Ferringo in the TV series.
And last night the film's cast, which includes Eric Bana, Jennifer Connolly, Nick Nolte and Sam Elliot took to the red carpet at the movie's US premiere.
