Is this animated utopia?

Based on a comic book and dubbed into English, Shinji Aramaki's film is a mixture of Japanese animé and Western CG effects.

This doesn't, however, make it much more spectacular than the more adventurous work in either mode.

The story, about a world almost destroyed by a catastrophic war and an experimental Utopia made up of mutually jealous humans and humanoids, has been told before.

The chief claim to originality here, is the female heroine, an expert fighter who would prove more than a match for Jet Li if he tried anything.
