It's hell on the Underground

Franka Potente chose the wrong train to catch in Creep

A young woman tries to take a late Tube home, gets locked in the station, boards a suspiciously empty train in the middle of the night, and all hell breaks loose.

Franka Potente, of Run Lola Run, plays the girl in Christopher Smith's film. She should have kept running. The story locates itself deep under London's Underground within dank passageways where cinematic monsters are wont to lie in wait.

You don't ask for logic with this kind of horror movie, but you do want is atmosphere, and that the film has got. There are also one or two genuinely nasty shocks.

I can't tell you who or what the Creep is, but the moral of the film seems to be don't get on an empty train past midnight. It'll be the only one not stopped by signal failures and heading straight to hell.
