Leo is less of a star

At last it seems that film heart-throb Leonardo DiCaprio is winning the battle of the bulge.

DiCaprio, 27, has been struggling with his weight ever since he put on two stone on the set of Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York last year. Scorsese blamed DiCaprio's fondness for pasta and pizzas.

But, after a strict diet and fitness regime, DiCaprio has a slimline look on the set of his new movie Catch Me If You Can, filmed at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. It's a look not seen since he stripped off for his 2000 film The Beach.

In the new Steven Spielberg movie, baby-faced DiCaprio stars as Frank Abagnale, the youngest man ever to make the FBI's most-wanted list for forgery.

He later became a consultant for the FBI, specialising in the field of white-collar crime. Tom Hanks costars as FBI agent Carl Hanratty. The movie is due to be released in December.
