Now it's the London job...

Michael Caine: back in the (crime) business

Sir Michael Caine is to star alongside Demi Moore in his first heist film since The Italian Job - this time filmed in London.

The pair will start shooting Flawless in March. Like The Italian Job, it is a crime caper set in the Sixties.

Caine, 72, will play a long-serving janitor who works for the world's biggest diamond merchants, based in the capital. On the eve of his retirement, furious that the company has refused an insurance claim for his sick wife, he devises a plan to rob the diamond vault.

Moore, 43, star of Ghost and Indecent Proposal, will take the role of an embittered employee.

Frustrated by sexual discrimination at the company, she decides to help Caine pull off the robbery.

Caine, a double Oscar-winner for Hannah And Her Sisters and The Cider House Rules, has made well over 100 films including 1969's The Italian Job. A season of his movies is currently playing at the National Film Theatre on the South Bank.

He previously appeared with Moore in the 1984 sex farce Blame It On Rio, when she was just 21.

Moore married actor Ashton Kutcher, 27, last year following the collapse of her first marriage to Die Hard star Bruce Willis with whom she had three daughters.

Flawless will be directed by Oscar-nominated English director Michael Radford, whose films include White Mischief, Il Postino and The Merchant Of Venice.
