Shrek creator turns to Narnia

10 April 2012

Children's fantasy classic The Chronicles of Narnia is to be made into a movie by Shrek film-maker Andrew Adamson.

All seven of C S Lewis's Narnia novels, including the The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, will be made into films by Walden Media after it made a deal with The C S Lewis Company, which owns the book rights.

Millions of readers have been enthralled by the Narnia tales, in which four English children have adventures in a magical world of talking animals overseen by God-like Aslan the lion.
