Snow falls, and school's called off.

Chris Koch's film runs in predictable tracks as the sudden storm transforms the fortunes of a dysfunctional (but happy) household in upper New York state. Dad's a weatherman trying to be top forecaster; Mom's run off her feet with familial love; junior's in love with the girl next door; his little sister likes boy-size action toys. Where will it all end? With the nasty guy with the snow plough clearing the roads so that classes can begin again? Not if the kids can help it. Over-elaborate plot, simple fun, with a bit of cheek to it, and a game cast headed by Chevy Chase, Pam Grier and Iggy Pop (as a DJ obsessed with crooner Al Martino)!
