In a typically quirky intro, Czech legend Jan Svankmaker claims that funding problems explain the child-like aesthetic of his latest film (the actors frequently have cut-and-paste paper bodies).

Either way, words and pictures conspire to creating an utterly plausible world, with hero Milan (Vaclav Helsus) desperate to pin down a dream lover (Klara Issova) but increasingly spooked by the secrets she holds.
