Some titles are removed in the UK, while others are removed in the US, and some in both countries. The list below reveals where a title will be removed in the UK or the US - where no territory is listed next to the title, this means it will be leaving both.

Why does Netflix remove movies and TV shows?

Licensing agreements mean that movies and TV shows have a "shelf life" in which they can be stored on the service. Netflix’s website states: "Netflix licences TV shows and movies from studios around the world. Though we strive to keep the titles you want to watch, some titles do leave Netflix because of licensing agreements."

When a TV show or movie licence is expiring, Netflix considers if the rights to the title are still available as well as how popular it is in each reason and the cost to licence.

"If a TV show or movie is renewed, it remains on Netflix for you to enjoy. If a title isn’t renewed, we’ll give you a heads up when it’s about to leave," Netflix says.
