The Cure and Major Lazer will headline this year’s Bestival, with many more big names also among the first wave of acts to be revealed.

Craig David, Hot Chip and Years & Years will all take to the stage at the Isle of Wight festival, as will Animal Collective, Aurora, Beaty Heart, The Human League, Katy B, Kitty Daisy & Lewis and Wolf Alice.

Major Lazer will play on Friday night while The Cure will end Saturday’s run of performances. A headliner is yet to be announced for Sunday. Last year it was Missy Elliott who took the slot.

Major Lazer will also be headlining this year’s Lovebox festival in Victoria Park.

The festival’s theme for 2016 has also been revealed — this year attendees will be encouraged to dress as ‘the future’. A fancy dress parade around the site usually takes place on the Saturday.

Bestival will take place from 8-11 September. See the full line-up so far and buy tickets at bestival.net.
