M.I.A’s Meltdown

The M.I.A-curated series of concerts and talks begins tonight with a set by Mercury-winning trio Young Fathers. M.I.A says she’s stuffed her festival with “outlaw musicians”. Other acts appearing include Soulwax, MHD and Crystal Castles.

Buffalo Tom

The Boston indie rock band, who rose in the grunge era, are back to mark 25 years since their breakthrough album, Let Me Come Over.

Nashville in Concert

The country music biz TV drama Nashville is still going strong after five series, and steps into real life this week when five of its stars appear on stage to sing highlights from the show.

Bushstock

June 10, various venues, Shepherd’s Bush (bushstock.co.uk)

The Communion record label takes over seven different Shepherd’s Bush venues (but not the Empire) for shows by acts including The Staves, Nick Mulvey and The Big Moon.

Evanescence

June 13-14, Eventim Apollo, W6 (0844 249 1000, eventimapollo.com)

The grandiose Arkansas rock band are still working on their first album since 2011 but may preview some new songs here, at their first London appearance in five years.
