The latest musician to enter Danger Mouse’s sumptuous sound world is Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who has just unveiled the first song from their new collaboration. Lux Prima is nine minutes long and full to bursting.

The newest star to emerge from the Scandipop field is Reykjavik’s Glowie, who’s now based in London and has just appeared on MTV’s Push list of ones to watch for 2019. Her sweary debut single Body has a new video on YouTube.

Known for their strident electropop, the latest release from Scotland’s Chvrches is an acoustic collection. The Hansa Session EP, made in the Berlin studio of that name, offers strikingly different versions of five recent songs.

Ably filling the gap in the market for female rappers of Tunisian heritage, the debut single from Serine Karthage is an excellent start. Ruler features atmospheric piano and plenty of confident wordplay.

Dido’s not exactly back with a bang on her comeback song, Hurricanes, but that voice is as soothing as ever. Her first album since 2013 is on the way for the spring.
