As Dinah Washington once sang, what a difference a day makes – and to look at Jack Pack, a whole year has made all the difference in the world.

The group sprang up as one of the front-runners of Britain’s Got Talent in 2014, impressing the judges with their smooth, retro style, and the big voices to back it up.

Having spent a year recording their debut album (with a 72-piece orchestra, no less) and making a triumphant re-appearance on Britain’s Got Talent in the 2015 live shows, we spoke to the gang about their group dynamic, their recording sessions, and who their favourite members of the Rat Pack are.

“That doesn’t happen anymore,” explains Andrew Bourn of their chance to record their album with a live orchestra. “To have that amount of people playing the music, it was really, really special. The string section across all the tracks is amazing.”
