New Year's Eve clubbing in London 2019: The best parties on December 31

1/17
Jochan Embley1 January 2020

Nights out don't come much bigger than New Year's Eve, and as ever London is gearing up for the occasion with an incredible selection of club nights.

The capital's revellers are spoilt for choice this year and demand for tickets is always high which means that by now many have sold out or prices are sky high.

Still, that's a lesson for next year. In the meantime, here's to 2020.

New Year’s Eve 2019 London party guide

1/12

The Cause NYE: Bring Down The Walls

This is set to be the very last party held at The Cause before it closes the doors of its Tottenham Hale location and moves onto pastures new. It hasn’t even been open for two years, but has still become one of the city’s finest clubs. The line-up is still being kept under wraps, but things are sure to go out with a bang.

E1 x Percolate

You can always count on Percolate for something befitting of the occasion on New Year’s Eve, and this year they will come through with the goods yet again. Debonair, GiGi FM, Hunee, Joy Orbison and Midland are just a few of the DJs set to play over the course of this 11-hour marathon.

Oval Space x The Pickle Factory

Sibling venues Oval Space and the Pickle Factory are two great spots in their own right, but things get particularly lively when they join forces. That’s exactly what the two clubs — which sit right across the street from each other — will do on NYE. Gilles Peterson, Henry Wu and Donna Leake are among the confirmed acts.

Abode NYE

It’s been a pretty huge year for house heads Abode, and they’ll see out 2019 typically massive style with another party at Studio 338. Expect the usual mix of resident DJs and hard-hitting special guests.

Rhythm Section New Year's Eve

Peckham’s newest venue will team up with a favourite of the local scene for this NYE party. Peckham Audio welcomes Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section crew for the night, with no line-up and just a promise that they’ll have “our friends and family to carry us into the new year”.

New Year's Eve: Folamour

Jake Davis

Folamour played a series of great nights at Phonox in 2019 — including some as a resident back in July — and will return on December 31 to toast the success. The Frenchman’s celebratory house stylings promise a great vibe for NYE.

Fabric NYE 2019

House and techno will be delivered in abundance at this Fabric night, spread across two rooms and featuring the likes of Kölsh and Terry Francis. A special guest will join them in Room One, although their identity is being kept secret for now.

Hannah Wants at Ministry of Sound

Ministry of Sound always throws one of the biggest NYE parties in London and this year invites Hannah Wants as the main event. Plenty more DJs will be added to the line-up in due course. Be sure to grab a ticket as soon as possible if you fancy going along to this one, because the final release is priced at a pretty eye-watering £75.

Wiggle NYE Party

Tech-house favourites Wiggle will take over this Peckham venue, finishing off their extended 25th birthday celebrations with Colin Dale, Nathan Coles and Eddie Richards all confirmed attendees. It’s a small capacity of 350 here, so this one will surely sell out.

Pleasurehood: New Year’s Eve with Move D

Jake Davis/Hungry Visuals

Multi-style master Move D comes back to XOYO to join the club’s usual Pleasurehood residents, Joshua James and Hifi Sean. Expect some colourful selections and high energy all night long.
