London gallery Victoria Miro is to host a summer exhibition on three young, trailblazing female artists: María Berrio, Caroline Walker, and Flora Yukhnovich.

The show, which is in collaboration with Instagram account The Great Women Artists, will run from June 7 at the Wharf Road-based gallery.

All three artists are known for rethinking traditional genres, and themes of migration, the workplace and the gendered language of paintings will be explored in the exhibition.

The work of Brooklyn-born Berrio will shine a light on the current political climate of the US, with pieces such as Oda a la Esperanza (Ode to Hope) alluding to Trump’s family separation policy. All her collage-based works are made from handmade Japanese rice paper.

London-based painter Walker focuses on women at work in both public and domestic spaces, highlighting the often overlooked subject of the workplace in art. Pieces from her hotel maid series will feature in the show, as well as new paintings that spotlight female tailors.

Through large-scale paintings, Yukhnovich is known for bringing classically-inspired works into a contemporary and female area, reworking gendered art traditions and fusing them with popular culture. Some of her pieces will be based on the ceilings of Versailles and Boucher landscapes.

Alongside the exhibition, a series of talks and events will run on Saturdays throughout June and July, with some young curators to be announced in the coming weeks. To mark the launch, a comprehensive walkthrough of the exhibition with a discussion on the artists will run on Saturday June 8.

The Great Women Artists, founded by Katy Hessel in 2015, is an account that celebrates females artists, from up-and-coming stars to historical creatives. It currently has more than 59,000 followers.

The exhibition will run at Victoria Miro from June 7-July 27
