Your comedy script could feature on the bill alongside Eddie Izzard
10 April 2012

Budding comedians are being given the chance to have their sketch performed alongside the likes of Eddie Izzard, Alan Davies and Chevy Chase at the return of Amnesty International's famous Secret Policeman's Ball.

Channel 4 are challenging writers to develop an idea into a winning sketch, which will then be performed live at the comedy event at the Royal Albert Hall on 14 October.

The original 1976 shows were the brainchild of Monty Python star John Cleese, who rounded up a host of big name stars to perform in the charity fundraiser, including Peter Cook, Alan Bennett, Sting, Rowan Atkinson and The Goodies.

The organisers of this year's Ball are promising an equally stellar line-up of comedy and music talent for the launch of Amnesty International's Protect The Human Week.

To enter the competition, log on to www.channel4.com/entertainment and upload your sketch. the winner will be announced on Wednesday 27 September.
