Join the comedy away day

10 April 2012

You can catch this bunch of improvising ne'er do wells every Wednesday and Sunday at the Comedy Store, but this Saturday they make a rare foray east.

The line-up includes veteran ad lib kings Stephen Frost, Steve Steen, muso-wit Richard Vranch, former Vicious Boy Andy Smart and Jim Sweeney. Sadly no team regular Paul Merton, though.

Boo, hiss. Not frightened of cockneys are you, Paul? Newcomers to the genre, if there are any left, will be in for a treat and some participation, as it's the audience that decides the scenarios.

This gang's scriptless routines are frequently much funnier than a lot of rigorously rehearsed stand-up acts.
