He who dares, wins! Among the slew of new musicals comes an unexpected delight – much loved BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses is taking to the West End stage.

Jim Sullivan, son of the TV show’s creator John Sullivan, has co-written the new musical with Paul Whitehouse, teaming up with Chas & Dave to write 20 new songs.

What is Only Fools and Horses: the Musical about?

The musical returns to the 1989 lives of Del Boy, Rodney and Grandad: Del Boy is looking for love, Rodney is getting ready to wed Cassandra and Grandad is taking stock of his life. It’s based around an episode of the TV show called Dates, in which Del Boy and Raquel meet for the first time.

Who is in the Only Fools and Horses cast?

Tom Bennett stars as Del Boy with up-and-coming actor Ryan Hutton as Rodney. Bennett is known for PhoneShop and Whit Stillman’s Love & Friendship, while Hutton makes his professional debut.

Paul Whitehouse, who also co-wrote the script, stars as Grandad.

Only Fools and Horses opens for previews on February 9 with the official opening date on February 19. It’s booking until August.
