1/14

Tom Hiddleston is set to make a much anticipated return to the stage next month for the finale of the Pinter at the Pinter season.

The Standard can now exclusively reveal the first images of The Night Manager star in rehearsals for Betrayal, which is widely regarded as the Nobel Prize-winning playwright’s masterpieces.

Hiddleston, who won an Evening Standard Theatre Award in 2014 for Coriolanus, will star alongside Zawe Ashton and Charlie Cox in Jamie Lloyd’s revival of the 1978 play.

The play is an intimate three-hander about an extramarital affair. Hiddleston plays Robert, who is married to Emma (Ashton) − who is having an affair with Jerry (Cox), Robert’s good friend.
