Piers Morgan got a rather stern telling off from Andy Murray after chatting about his “genitals” on breakfast TV.

Fans claimed they were able to see more than just the hip, with the debate sparking a conversation on Good Morning Britain about hospital bed snaps under sedation and the mistakes they often lead to.

Murray sent Morgan a message to read out – despite co-host Susanna Reid trying her best to stop him – asking the presenter to be more private about his privates.

“I've been watching and please can you stop discussing my genitals on national TV, I was heavily medicated," the message read.

Morgan replied: "It could be worse, it could be the opposite, were you to reveal your shortcomings to the world!” before cracking up with laughter at his accidentally crude remark.

On Tuesday, Murray revealed he had under gone surgery to have metal inserted into his hip to try save his career.

The sports star tearfully announced earlier this month that he was stepping away from tennis in 2019 after failing to overcome a chronic hip problem.

"I underwent a hip resurfacing surgery in London yesterday morning," the Scot posted on Instagram.

“Feeling a bit battered and bruised just now but hopefully that will be the end of my hip pain. I now have a metal hip as you can see in the 2nd photo and I look like I've got a bit of a gut in photo 1.”
