Viewers were left horrified after BBC Breakfast accidentally broadcasted a large sex toy on-screen during a Stormzy interview.

The 24-year-old grime artist was on the show to promote his latest single Blinded By Your Grace Part 2 when a clip from his Glastonbury performance was aired.

As the camera panned to the fans in the crowd, one man could be seen joyfully waving a large, black sex toy above his head as he enjoyed Stormzy’s hit song Shut Up.

Dressed as a policeman, the man was sat on a friend’s shoulders, using the sex toy as a ‘truncheon’.

BBC Breakfast presenters Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty didn’t appear to notice and instead commented on how much the Momma’s Prayers singer “jumped around”.

But, unlike the hosts, several eagle-eyed viewers spotted the mistake and expressed their shock on social media.

One surprised viewer said: "Nearly choked on my breakfast watching #stormzy on @BBCBreakfast #dildogate! Wouldn't want to have to explain that to kids watching!!"

Another posted: "All the footage of @Stormzy at Glastonbury @BBCBreakfast could choose and they went for the policeman waving the 12” dildo about!"
