Big Brother fans have been waiting since the end of January’s Celebrity run for the show to return – but the wait is almost over.

The ‘civilian’ series of the long-running reality show has received an official start date on Channel 5, and it’s not far away.

The show will be returning on Tuesday, June 7 – and it sounds like it’s going to be massively dramatic.

Hyping up the new series, a Channel 5 statement said: “From Day One the Housemates will be under attack from an unseen ominous dark force that will have a dramatic and divisive effect on the House.

“Whilst things may appear to be straight forward Big Brother will ensure that no-one will have the entire picture. There may even be deeper connections at work?

“The Housemates are not alone and they should be prepared for paranoia and suspicion.

“Viewers should prepare for a ‘yin and yang’ style force to evolve Big Brother for a new generation.”

The house has been made over, with rumours that the new series will also involve celebrities living in the house alongside regular contestants.

It’s thought that familiar faces from the likes of Gogglebox and TOWIE are set to join the show this year. Geordie Shore’s Scotty T won the Celeb edition earlier this year.
