New arrivals: the three guests must impress the current housemates to bag a place in the show

After Savannah was announced as first of two new permanent housemates joining Big Brother, the Irish singer arrives in the house winning fans amongst the boys, but provoking jealously among the girls.

Wednesday’s episode will also reveal which of the other guests will secure a permanent spot in the show.

Savannah impresses Chanelle, Kieran and Lotan, the housemates taking part in the Blind Date-style task with her, but leaves Ellie, who’s watching the game from a screen in the BB house, feeling unsettled, especially after it’s revealed Savannah fancies her crush Lotan.

And, as the 26-year old settles in to the house, Ellie only begins to feel worse, sharing her worries in the diary room.

“She’s stunning, she’s natural, she’s got an Irish accent, obviously, she’s got a really big personality, and I like to be the one who can make people laugh and be known as the girl with the good personality, and I thought, god I’m going to end up in somebody’s shadow,” she confesses.

“I’m not being funny but I think when you’re getting down and seductive, I think they’d rather have a morning of a sexy Irish lass, rather than ‘Go on lad’. Do you know what I mean, it’s a bit different.”

Later on in the show, the boys reveal Savannah has made an impression on them too with Lotan describing her as “awesome” and “banging, a little pint size thing, she’s great fun, a very pretty young lady, that’s not to say I’m f***ing interested, or she’s staying in my bed, but she can if she wants to”.

Elsewhere, Kieran admits he has a history with potential new housemate Isabella. But will the 21-year-old be selected to join the house or will the existing contestants be more impressed with ‘ultimate lad’ Sam Chaloner?

Big Brother continues at 10pm on Channel 5.
