Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left fearing for the show’s cameraman after they claimed he “exposed” a magician’s terrifying magic trick.

The horrifying act curated by magician Elizabeth, known as The Haunting, left judge Amanda Holden so frightened she shouted “f***” and then suffered a panic attack off-camera.

Holden was 'grabbed by Florence the ghost' before another named Agatha 'smashed through a mirror'.

The trick saw Agatha take hold of Holden’s arm and shockingly transform back into Elizabeth the magician.

Eagle-eyed viewers claimed they spotted Elizabeth waiting on the staircase to swap over for her appearance as part of the act.

Fans tweeted about the alleged gaffe as they expressed fears for the cameraman’s future.

One user wrote: “Did anyone else notice the woman standing on the stairs ready to swap over on the haunting act?”

Another posted: “#BGT sorry Elizabeth the trick was ruined as the camera picked you up walking down the stairs as Amanda was walking up!! Poor semi-final act.”

Standard Online has contacted representatives of Britain’s Got Talent for comment.

The comments come after Holden immediately apologised for her use of language pre-watershed.

"I just really want to apologise. I said a really terrible word," she said before giving her feedback on the act. "I know there are kids watching - I know my kids are watching - so [a] massive apology.

“But I can honestly say I feel terrified. It is a terrifying, amazing [and] thrilling experience. But I wouldn't want anybody to go through that."

Britain’s Got Talent is on ITV tonight at 7:30pm. Britain’s Got More Talent follows at 9pm on ITV2.
