Amanda Holden divided Britain’s Got Talent fans with her sheer dress during tonight’s semi-final.

The judge wore a striking floor length gown by designer Nicolas Jebran for the latest instalment of the ITV talent show.

One side of the dress was white with intricate floral embellishment, while the other was almost completely transparent aside from a delicate spider web and twig design.

Some viewers were less than impressed with the star’s revealing outfit, claiming that it was not “appropriate” to be worn for a “family show.”

“Amanda, you know and we know you are a beautiful lady BUT please dress more respectful on a family show,” one disgruntled Twitter user wrote.

“@BGT @AmandaHolden that dress isn’t family tv appropriate! Please remember your audience,” another said, while a third wrote: “Ur [sic] dress sense’s not right for a family tv show.”

“Can someone tell Amanda Holden that #BritainsGotTalent is supposed to be a family show? What the hell is that dress?” another asked.

Others, however, described the striking design as Holden’s “best dress yet,” praising the actress as “stunning” and “like a princess.”

“I do hope I look as good as you when I hit 48! Absolute goals, beautiful,” one fan raved.

“To be honest, the only reason I watch #BGT2019 year after year is simply for @AmandaHolden! She’s just stunning,” another Twitter user enthused.

This is not the first time that Holden’s sartorial choices have caused a stir with Britain’s Got Talent viewers.

In 2017, Ofcom confirmed that they received 216 complaints after the judge wore a plunging gown by Julien Macdonald.

Speaking to The Sun earlier that year, Holden joked: “Will people be complaining to Ofcom? I hope so, I really do. I haven’t done my job if they aren’t”

Britain's Got Talent continues nightly at 7.30pm and 9.30pm on ITV this week.
