Emma Willis was hailed a “legend” and an “absolute queen” by fans after she appeared to make a subtle dig at Roxanne Pallett.

Willis, 42, was praised for her “sass” after she let out a laugh while discussing Pallett’s apology to Ryan Thomas during the Celebrity Big Brother live final.

On winning, Thomas was shown the footage from his light-hearted play fight with the Emmerdale actress who accused him of being a “woman beater”.

Willis informed Thomas that Pallett had apologised following her exit from the house and eagle-eyed viewers were quick to note the presenter’s tone.

Willis let out a laugh as she said: “Her line was that she ‘got it massively wrong’ after watching it back.”

One viewer tweeted: “Omg!? @EmmaWillis ‘chuckle’ at Roxanne’s ‘words’ says it all! That girl is a total legend!!!”

Another posted: “Emma tutting and rolling her eyes when she told Ryan that Roxanne told her she “got it massively wrong”. What. A. Legend.”

A third wrote: “I’m living for that shady laugh from Emma, what an absolute QUEEN.”

Pallett demanded Thomas be removed from the house following the incident saying it had left her feeling “uncomfortable”. Thomas received a formal warning from Big Brother and later broke down in tears on finding out that she had slept in another room to avoid him.

The former Coronation Street star was close to tears as he relived the incident on Monday night, saying he felt like a “scared little boy” who feared he would receive a call from the police.

He said: “The thing that scared me the most was when Ben [Jardine] said she couldn’t stay in the room with me. That rang alarm bells and the game became real life for me. I did break. I was a scared little boy.

“The one thing I held onto in there was Sally [Morgan]. That was what I needed. We all know how something like that can stick on a man. I just wanted out and to be with my manager who could protect me because I thought I’d get a call from the police. I’m glad we had 24 hour surveillance.”

Asked if he could forgive Pallett he said: “If she wants forgiveness I will give her that. She’s probably been punished enough by the public.”

Willis will return to screens on Friday night for the launch of the civilian instalment of Big Brother which features a bricklayer, a vlogger and a cleaner among others.
