India Willoughby has complained that the latest Celebrity Big Brother task is ‘sexist’.
The challenge, which pits the men and women against each other in a chance to take control of the house, sees the male contestants head off to work in the CBB factory while the women stay behind and act as ‘housewives’.
In scenes to be aired in Thursday's show, the female housemates were gathered in the living room when the newsreader aired her objection to the challenge.
“I’m all for winning but it is a bit sexist I think. But there we go,” she said.
Others in the group hit back at the suggestion, with model Jess Impiazzi saying: “Well let’s not dampen it, I think it’s lovely”.
Meanwhile Amanda Barrie agreed: “It’s lovely, it’s fun, it’s fun, it’s fun. It’s a laugh”
After Ann Widdecombe implored the other women to allow Willoughby to speak, the Channel 5 anchor added: “I’m just saying if Big Brother is doing our cooking and helping us in ways like that it is a bit. But that’s fine, I’m all for winning so bring it on.”
Later in the programme, Barrie accused Willoughby of ‘playing the victim’ as a ‘strategy’ to get votes.

“You have to leave her, she’s being a victim all day. She’s going to be the unpopular one in the house that they all vote for. It’s probably a strategy, so I’m not going with it anymore,” she told the women.
“Where did that come from?” asked Willoughby.
