As Strictly Come Dancing prepares to bring us into winter television season, rumours for the celebrity line up on Dancing On Ice have set tongues wagging.

Speculation has been coming in thick and fast as bosses over at the ice-skating show have been teasing fans with Instagram posts. So far only Maura Higgins and Michael Barrymore have confirmed their place in the line-up.

The ITV show, which returned from a four-year hiatus in 2018 and continued this year, will be back on our screens in the New Year.

As per usual the annual attempts at trying to crack the codes in the Instagram clues has begun.

Here are the clues so far ...

For the first post, the show said: “ Big hair, don't care? We wonder who this celeb will be taking to the ice very soon...”

“We've got stars in our eyes over this celeb... Or in our jacket pockets?” the second post teased.

The third one: “We wonder if this celeb will be able to score big on the ice... “

Which celebrities are rumoured to be in the line-up?

Amber Gill

ITV

Gill was rumoured to be joining the show's line-up after winning Love Island this summer. She would be the third islander to step onto the rink, with Kem Cetinay taking part in 2018 and Wes Nelson following in his footsteps this year.

Another person famous for brown curly hair is Kiely, who first found fame as a child dancer in dance troupe Diversity. The Britain’s Got Talent champion is now 23 and after a stint on Celebs Go Dating has been rumoured to appear on skates come January.

Joe Swash

King of the Jungle Joe Swash is thought to be heading onto the ice after one of the Dancing On Ice teaser pics showed someone with a gold star in their front jacket pocket. Joe is famed for his blazer jacket and has been a host on I’m A Celebrity’s spin-off show Extra Camp for some years now.

After Dancing On Ice shared a photo of a hand holding a football with the caption, fans in the comment section suggested that footballer Karen Carney has just retired and would have some free time.

Steps superstar Ian 'H' Watkins could be taking to the ice this year after his bandmate Faye Tozer got really close to winning Strictly last winter. An insider told The Sun: "He won a legion of fans in his Steps days with his cheesy dance moves and he could do it all over again by recreating them on the ice."

Michelle Heaton

Liberty X star Michelle Heaton is rumoured to be going on the show after saying that she would be up for the challenge.

She said: "It is one of those shows that I would love to tick off my bucket list. It would be really wonderful to learn how to do something like that. Let's hope I can pull some strings."

Dancing On Ice will return to ITV next year.
