Dancing on Ice’s Brooke Vincent reveals awkward encounter with Theresa May

The Coronation Street actress was left red-faced by the blunder

Brooke Vincent has opened up about an awkward encounter she shared with Prime Minister Theresa May at the Pride of Britain Awards.

Chatting with fellow guests Iain Stirling and Chris Hughes on The Chris Ramsey Show, the Dancing on Ice star explained:

“I went out for a quick cigarette before it started and then I tried to get back in.”

“The security guard was like, ‘You’re going to have to wait,’ and then all these people in suits started walking in and I’d got wind that the Prime Minister had just walked in,” she told them.

“I’ve got to this mirror to my lipstick on, I’m talking to my friend in the mirror. She said, ‘Where you been? You’ve been gone ages’.”

“I said, ‘Oh mate, I went for a cig and the bleeding Prime Minster turned up’. To my right, at the next basin, was Theresa May washing her hands.”

To which Stirling quipped: “Washing her hands of all the responsibility of the country.”

Later in the show Vincent slated Hughes during a game which saw the guests guess how many people in the audience would use their hall pass for the reality star.

Stirling suggested 90% but Vincent was far less convinced. How do you say to your boyfriend, ‘By the way, if I was get a hall pass…’ No offence, but you’re not going to waste it on him. You wouldn’t!” she said.

The Chris Ramsey Show airs Wednesdays at 10pm on Comedy Central UK.
