Dancing On Ice has teased the first celebrity contestant set to take part in the show’s 2018 revival.

The show’s Twitter account posted a picture of a man’s upper body seen with a handful of ice cubes on Tuesday, captioned: “Our new celebrities are already getting to grips with the ice #DancingOnIce”.

Of course the mysterious post has seen fans of the ice skating competition using their sleuthing skills to attempt to figure out who the series’ first recruit is.

Some Twitter users think they’ve identified the owner of the toned torso as Scottish rugby player Max Evans.

One wrote: “OMG is that Max,” while another posted: “I think it’s Max Evans!? Maybe”.

Last month it was announced that Dancing On Ice would be returning to ITV in early 2018 after a three-year hiatus.

Previous hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have been confirmed to present the programme.

Meanwhile former champion figure skaters Jane Torville and Christopher Dean will be swapping their coaching roles for seats on the judging panel, joined by Ashley Banjo of Diversity fame.
