Episodes of Friends will be aired on terrestrial TV for just five hours later his month.

To mark the landmark sitcom’s 21st anniversary, Channel 5 will air 10 back-to-back episodes on Sunday September 13.

Friends was shown on Channel 4 in the UK for its 10-year run, followed by six years of repeats before moving over to E4.

The final episode of series 10 drew a huge audience of 8.6 million when it was broadcast in 2004.

Friends then left terrestrial TV in 2011 when Channel 4’s deal with Warner Bros came to an end, the series moving over to Comedy Central.

For devoted Friends fans, an interactive experience is set to open in London for five days from September 16 – 20.

Based in Brick Lane, Friendsfest will allow visits to hang out in Central Perk, play a game of foosball and even get a ‘Rachel’ blow dry.

The ‘ultimate’ Friends experience includes a full scale set of Monica’s apartment and a New York-themed courtyard.
