Holly Willoughby has admitted that she wants to see Danny Dyer “chin” Piers Morgan during Thursday night’s Good Evening Britain.

For one night only, the breakfast show – fronted by Morgan and Susanna Reid – is moving to a prime time slot after England’s final group match against Belgium.

Morgan has admitted that he is slightly concerned about being in the same room as the EastEnders hard man in the wake of his Love Island slating.

Willoughby, and perhaps most of the country, has admitted that she is “really hoping” that Dyer will slap him live on air.

Talking about the upcoming show on This Morning, Morgan said: "I think Danny Dyer unleashed anywhere in my proximity considering I've been hammering Love Island, where his own daughter is lurking might be a bit tense.”

Willoughby said: “I think it might be. That's the bit I'm most looking forward to.”

Morgan retorted: “You want to see Danny Dyer chin me don't you? On live TV, admit it Willoughby.”

Powerless to resist the temptation of that image, Willoughby admitted: “Is it wrong that I do? I'm sort of really hoping that happens.”

Morgan then joked that it was “written all over her horrible little face” and joked that her “halo” often slips during lunch or dinner together.

Earlier on Wednesday, Morgan admitted that he was predicting a scrap between him and Dyer as they come face-to-face on the jam-packed show, which will also feature Pamela Anderson, Rebekah Vardy and Jeremy Corbyn.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV. Good Evening Britain is on Thursday, June 28 at 9.15pm.
