The I’m A Celebrity camp was put on lockdown after eight deadly spiders were reportedly found near the contestants’ beds.

Areas were cordoned off after a number of poisonous Funnel Web Spiders were discovered in a corner of the camp.

Native to Australia, the spiders are potentially lethal to humans and are known for being able to kill from one bite in just 15 minutes.

According to The Mirror, the arachnids have now been removed after they were spotted in a camera hide near to the camp’s sleeping area.

Medic Bob McCarron told the paper: “The funnel webs are the most dangerous spider in the world.

“This year in one of the camera hides we found eight. That’s the most we’ve ever found in one day.”

A source said: “This is really worrying because they are not normally found on set.

“Producers are being extra careful to make sure the celebs don’t get harmed.”

A venomous snake was also found on the helipad this year, which is the entry and exit point for all of the celebrities.

This year’s star got their first taste of creepy crawlies during Monday night’s Bushtucker Trial.

Scarlett Moffatt and Sam Quek and Jordan Banjo and Ola Jordan all had to lie down in a tomb as record 120,000 creatures were dropped on them.
