'I’m so close to telling you to F off': Iain Lee storms off The Wright Stuff after huge row with Matthew Wright

Lee wasn't happy with the presenter's line of questioning

I’m A Celebrity contestant Iain Lee has stormed out of an interview on The Wright Stuff.

The radio presenter objected to host Matthew Wright's probing comments about his marriage after he addressed reports that he and his wife were set to split.

After attempting to deflect several questions about the state of his relationship, an angry Lee told Wright: “You’re talking about my private life.”

But Wright wasn’t convinced, asking: “Can it be private if you talked about it on your radio show?”

An unamused Lee hit back: “I’m so close to telling you to F off and walk off this show right now.”

To which Wright replied: “If that’s what you want to do…” Lee then didn't return after the ad break.

Following his appearance, Lee wrote: “My mental health is not entertainment. My personal life is not entertainment. I am fine. Better than I’ve been for a long time.”

Viewers were shocked by the dramatic scenes.

One wrote: “Oh Iain has obviously left the studio. You provoked him Matthew by your response. He deserves an apology. I’m really doubtful if I can continue to watch your programme #wrightstuff.”

Another tweeted: “Iain has said many times about his issues. If he’d said to producers 3 times he wasn’t going to talk about it, Matthew should have dropped it, or not even gone there. Was only the intro!

“Did Iain sense some hostility from Matthew to make him walk?” asked another.

The Wright Stuff continues weekdays at 9.15 am.
