Singer Nicole Scherzinger is in talks to replace Rita Ora on The Voice, according to reports.

Scherzinger, 37 – who featured as a judge on rival singing show The X Factor and mentored Rylan Clark and James Arthur – is reportedly set to meet with producers on the BBC show to discuss the possibility of joining.

"Nicole is meeting with some of the top producers on The Voice this week to discuss the prospect of her replacing Rita,” a source told The Sun.

"Will.i.am, who is our most popular coach, is very close friends with Nicole and has been lobbying hard for her to join the panel. Andrew Lloyd Webber has also sung her praises because of her talent and passion for mentoring young acts.

"We're not planning to make a formal decision until the end of the summer but this will very much make Nicole a front runner".

It was announced last month that Poison singer Ora had jumped ship to take a position on the revamped X Factor judging panel alongside Nick Grimshaw, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell.
