Joe Sugg is the new favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing after two consecutive high-scoring weeks on the BBC show.

Sugg, who is the first YouTube star to take part in the competition, has shot to the top of the bookies odds table after bagging 31 points for his impressive Charleston on Saturday night.

Sugg is 4/1 to win the show, according to Betfair, while Ashley Roberts is in second place with odds of 9/2.

Steps singer Faye Tozer and journalist Stacey Dooley are tied in third place with odds of 11/2 while Capital Breakfast host Vick Hope has dropped to fourth with odds of 8/1.

Comedian Seann Walsh is languishing at the bottom with extremely long odds of 70/1, while cricketer Graeme Swann doesn't look close to following in the footsteps of Mark Ramprakash and Darren Gough with odds of 33/1.

Social media star Sugg danced the Charleston to Cotton Eyed Joe by the Rednex with professional partner Dianne Buswell on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old paid tribute to his previous career as a roof thatcher throughout the high-energy routine.

Bruno Tonioli compared him to a “playful puppy” as he commended the “charming and energetic routine”.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday, at 6.30pm on BBC One.
